the award recognizes exceptional fashion collections created by designers from central and eastern europe.
it was first awarded in 2006 at the austrian fashion awards night and the first awrd winner was olah gyarfas from romania. he is working on a label "rozalb de mura"( jupi, we have his clothes at ostblock).

the second winner( 2007) was the young serbian fashion designer slobodan mihajlovic.
this year winner is jakub polanka from czech republic.
